For the last year, we at River’s Promise have been working with a group of orphans that are survivors of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide.  For those of you that don’t know, during the 100 day genocide, over 1,000,000 people were killed.  This means that for each day of the Genocide, roughly 10,000 men, women, and children were ruthlessly murdered.

We have had the opportunity to partner with a group of children who survived the 1994 Genocide.  For many of them, they are the only living survivors in their families.  No fathers.  No mothers.  No aunts or uncles.  No brothers or sisters.  Their stories of loss are truly some of the most heart wrenching stories we have ever heard.

We are proud to say that these Genocide Survivor Orphans are now available for monthly sponsorship in our program!  For only $35 per month you will bring the Hope of an education, health care, and other basic amenities to an orphan in Rwanda!

Your sponsorship will also provide much needed grief counseling to address the emotional needs of these children!
